One of the " Maha " things that is a by product of this blog is the connection that I have made with fellow bloggers in different parts of the " Mondo ". The Brunei yoga and blogging scene is one of those that I feel linked up to. I regularly check in to see what is up with Danurasana & Pablo .
Thinking about this, I realized that there is also a personal '"brick & mortar " link with the folks from Brunei.
An early project of Filipino National Artist Leandro " Lindy" Locsin's was his construction of a tropical modernist home for my grandparents in Makati. Architect Locsin would then subsequently design several Manila landmarks : Former First Lady Imelda Marcos' Cultural Center, the Ayala Museum and my favorite hotel, the Mandarin Oriental Makati. Wallpaper* ran a spread featuring these buildings last year.
Locsin's largest sized work would be the Istana Nurul Iman, the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei : Hassanul Bolkiah - ( Image via Wikipedia )
