This is a post from the World of Pablo in Brunei . He attends classes @ our friend Danurasana's studio. It's a great sign when a yoga community can thrive in one of the most Muslim of countries in Asia .
Here is his post :
Me and Bunny decided to visit Danura and joined her yoga class today. It was the class of Hip Openers and Twists. We had a wonderful time, I must admit.
I'm not new to yoga and quite familiar with some of the poses such as the plank, the cobbler and the cat's poses. I have incorporated some of these poses in my warm-up and warm-down sessions in my gym routine. However, I must admit joining Danura's class is much better. We get to do it in a group and it was such a motivation for me.
From a management perspective, if we do classes together, it will help us to meet the objectives and goals of our work as we have an instructor guiding us to ensure that everyone is in harmony in what ever thing we do. ( Alright Pablo, that is a fresh point of view for me )
The breathing movements really helps to release tension inside our body. By the end of the class, I was much relaxed....One of the beautiful thing about yoga, apart of the breathing exercises that help to reduce anxiety, is that the exercises meant to provide balance in our body, to ensure equilibrium inside us and release toxins ( according to the Guru herself).
It was a real sweat workout and I tried as much as I can with some of the interesting poses that Danura made us do. The ambience of the class was great.. Everbody was focus and concentrate on the moves. The music was audible enough for you to enjoy it and focus on Danura's instructions. I was familiar with Fadl Shaker's song of "Ya Ghaib" ( OK , I need to download this tune ) and that made me more hype listening to it.
I choose the floor near the window as I really like the sun shining out there as if I'm taking energy from it.
I look forward to try her other classes such as the core and flow classes..
I feel so relax now that I'm looking forward to hit my bed.. nite.. nite....
